La Paella Tapas bar is a family run business, established in 1995 by Miguel Sr and his wife Danka. We are proud to be the longest running Tapas bar & restaurant serving Spanish cuisine with a variety of fine wines and spirits in Southgate North London area.

Since 2006 Miguel Jr has actively taken over the day to day running of the restaurant by moving the business forward. In keeping with the traditional theme of wooden beams and images of Spain mixed in with a modern twist.

Our aim is to create an atmosphere inspired by Spain’s many traditional Tapas bars and restaurants. Bringing the best of traditional, modern tapas to North London. Today as ever, La Paella is a great place to enjoy an informal meal or get together with a simple yet delicious selection of Tapas dishes or our traditional paella’s.

La Paella is a great date spot, due to the super cosy and romantic ambience. However, it is also a great place for dinner with family and friends. Our food and ambience will transport you to sunny Spain.

Our establishment offers dishes which are influenced by many different regions of Spain such as our traditional Tortilla Española, Chicken & Jamon croquettas, Gambas al Ajillo, Pulpo a la Gallega, Jamon Iberico, Fabada Asturiana and five different Paellas. With the traditional bomba rice from Spain minimum for 2 with our signature dish “House Paella”. Perfectly matches with a glass of our organic House wine or a jug of fruity delicious Sangria. The wine list has a vast choice of reds, whites and sherries from the best Spanish vineyards. So that you can enjoy them at the bar and at your table. For those of you with a sweet tooth then you must sample some of our homemade desserts like our delicious Crema Catalan or Tarta Santiago accompanied with a lovely glass of Pedro Jimenez.
